Hi all, for some time now some issues with the mail system have been preventing user registration, which meant that people couldn't subscribe, securely comment, etc. I've fixed these issues, but as a consequence, all previously registered users have been wiped.

Dust is always a problem with electronics, and well, life in general. But most importantly, its a problem with computers. I've tried various means to stop dust from entering my home, including a HEPA filter and always keeping my air conditioner circulating the air, but nothing works quite well enough. Eventually I came to the conclusion that you have to tackle dust at the computer-level, and for that people resort to a variety of air filters.
I've been spending the last few days doing some spring cleaning, as I have a tendency to let things build up for far too long. By the time I finally get around to it, its always a much larger hassle than I had anticipated. Of course, this being a major personality quirk of mine, I'm not sure whether its supposed to be endearing or embarassing.
Gaming on Linux is a tricky subject. The platform has always been subject to bad video drivers, ever-changing APIs and haphazard support for Windows games in Wine, which has a tendency to support an application just fine in one version and then suffer a regression in the next. But recently this has completely changed due to the release of Steam.
